Electric Power Steering (EPS)
Electric Power Steering (EPS) systems are a critical automotive technology that improves steering responsiveness, fuel efficiency, vehicle control, and driving comfort while supporting the continued advancement of ADAS and autonomous driving systems. Unlike traditional hydraulic steering systems, EPS relies on electrically controlled motor systems that require stable, efficient power delivery in compact automotive environments. These systems demand reliable capacitors capable of handling high ripple currents, rapid load changes, and elevated operating temperatures.
Capacitors to support Electric Power Steering should have the following characteristics, High Ripple Current, Low ESR, Long Life, High Capacitance

Recommended Series
UCL
The UCL series offers lower impedance than the UCD series with a temperature range of -55°C to 105°C, rated voltages of 6.3 V to 50 V, and capacitances of 10 µF to 2,200 µF.
UCM
The UCM series is a low impedance capacitor with higher capacitance and a smaller footprint than UCL and UCD series.
PCA
The PCA series features highly reliable capacitors with high ripple current, low ESR and a long life of 4,000 hours at 125°C.
GWC
The GWC series is designed with high ripple current, low ESR, and high heat resistance to address the needs of the automotive and communications industries.
GYF
The GYF series offers the high reliability, low ESR, and high ripple current of the GYE series with even higher capacitance in a smaller package.
GYG
The high-reliability, low-ESR GYG series offers improved capacitance over the GYF and GYA series.
Features
Many of our series are AEC-Q200 compliant, meeting the automotive industry’s stringent stress test requirements for passive components.
We produce miniature and surface-mount capacitors to meet space-saving requirements in densely packed automotive PCBs.
Many of our capacitors can support systems with high ripple demands, such as DC-DC converters, onboard chargers, and ECUs. These include our conductive polymer aluminum solid electrolytic capacitors and conductive polymer hybrid aluminum electrolytic capacitors.
We offer capacitors designed to withstand high vibration environments, ideal for under-hood and chassis-mounted electronics.
