Nichicon Earns TTI Gold Supplier Excellence Award

Nichicon America Corporation was given a Gold Supplier Excellence Award at the annual Electronics Distribution Show (EDS) in Las Vegas on May 11.

Nichicon America, an electronic components supplier based in Schaumburg, IL, received the award from TTI, Inc., one of its primary distributors, during TTI’s Supplier Executive Breakfast meeting.

Nichicon has consistently demonstrated their commitment to operations excellence and they have been a key strategic partner with TTI for many years. We are pleased to present the Gold award to the employees of Nichicon for four consecutive years of dedicated service and outstanding support, said Melanie Pizzey, vice president of global business operations at TTI.

The TTI Supplier Excellence Awards are presented to suppliers that encompass several measurements of excellence: administrative quality, receiving quality, customer-reported quality, on-time delivery, operations and business systems.

Todd Oelerich, Nichicon’s head of sales who accepted the award, said that the Supplier Excellence Awards have made Nichicon America a stronger company. He also applauded his team for maintaining the excellence that TTI celebrates.

Over the last four years, keeping the metrics of these awards in mind has allowed us to focus on practical ways to become a better supplier and partner to TTI, Oelerich said. It’s an honor and a privilege to receive this distinction, and I want to thank TTI for their commitment and dedication to us.
