SCHAUMBURG, IL – Nichicon Corporation has developed the LGZ Series of snap-in, terminal-type aluminum capacitors guaranteed for 20,000 hours at 105 ℃, achieving the world’s longest life for environmental and renewable fields. These products were first displayed at CEATAC Japan 2018.
This new series was developed in response to market demands for maintenance-free operation and investment effectiveness. The LGZ series’ life span replaces the current lineup of world-class long-life LGR series products, which were guaranteed for 10,000 hours at 105 ℃.
These new advancements in technology were achieved through the combination of highly reliable electrolytic foil and electrolyte paper with a high amount of electrolytic solution. Nichicon developed the product with higher reliability and capacity, while maintaining product size.
The LGZ Series is in production at Nichicon (Ohno) Corporation, Site III Factory in Nagano Prefecture, Nichicon Electronics (Wuxi) in Jiangsu, China and at Nichicon (Malaysia) in Selangor Darul Ehsan, Malaysia.
