Schaumberg, IL: Nichicon Corporation has released a new line of surface mount electrolytic capacitors called the “UCH series.” The use of a new low-resistance electrolyte and a new internal structure provides the low ESR at cold temperatures needed in today’s harsh automotive environment.
There is an increasing demand for SMD capacitors in automotive control units such as the engine control unit (ECU) and drive systems control units as well as many other under hood applications. These units require a wide voltage range and low ESR to better control the increasing power demands of the transportation industry, as well as being able to withstand the harsh environment of the engine compartment. With an operating life of 2,000 hours at 125 °C and a guaranteed ESR of 6Ω at -40 °C/400 kHz the UCH is an industry leader.
The UCH is presently offered in 35V, with a capacitance of 47 µF and 100 µF. With an operating temperature of -40 °C to 125 °C. All values are available in a 6.3 mm x 7.7 mm case size.
Both sample and production quantities are available now. For further information and evaluation units, contact Mark Fisk at 847-843-7500 x 5554 or by email at sales@nichicon-us.com. Data sheets are also available on our website.
