Conductive Polymer Hybrid Aluminum Solid Electrolytic Capacitor

Conductive polymer hybrid aluminum electrolytic capacitors use both a conductive polymer and a liquid electrolyte. This combination provides the lower ESR and increased heat resistance typical of conductive polymers while delivering the self-healing properties of the liquid electrolyte. Consequently, the hybrids offer low ESR at high frequencies, temperature and frequency stability, a wide operating frequency, low leakage currents, high humidity resistance, consistent self-healing, and an open-circuit failure mode – all at a significantly lower cost than polymer capacitors.
